Children in all years participate in morning fitness activities designed to promote physical and mental health. They participate in team and individual skills activities using a wide range of equipment from our extremely well equipped sports shed.
These activities are generally run in class groups but on occasions the whole school shares fitness activities to promote team work and respect for each other. They are provided with a range of whole school activities including an annual Fun Run, Sports Carnival and – when qualified teachers are available – a swim program.
Healthy lifestyle messages are integrated into many aspects of the class programs most particularly in healthy eating programs and cooking lessons. Children demonstrate a good understanding of healthy eating and this is supported by the parents.
