A balanced program is provided by the teachers, who integrate all Western Australian Curriculum subjects into their classroom program. A significant feature of our small school is the ability for teachers to provide an individualised program to meet the wide ranging needs of all our students.
The school is very well resourced with good access to computers and laptops, interactive whiteboards and sufficient iPads for one per student, students access a range of software and apps to compliment teacher instruction.
The school has a very wide range of curriculum resources particularly for literacy, mathematics, PE and sport. Our recently refurbished kitchen provides a dedicated area for the preparation of healthy meals and snacks which students prepare as part of their weekly program. It is also used for our breakfast program using food supplied by Foodbank.
The flexibility of One line budget has enabled the school to direct money towards considerable upgrading of facilities throughout the school including a roof over the half basketball court to provide much needed shade and increase the range of activities that can be done outside the classroom, a range of outdoor fitness equipment has been installed for use by school staff, students and the local community and rubber soft fall has been put under the existing playground equipment. This will extend the range of activities we can offer to the school and wider community.
